Archie is a black gelding by Rhondeo, out of Sunday, our Sandro Hit x Donnerhall mare. He was her first foal and we couldn't have been more delighted with him.

We chose Rhondeo as a sire for Sunday's first foal as he produces children with an exceptional character and straight, correct limbs. Archie's paces are all very strong and have great suspension and athleticism.

Rhondeo was a son of Rotspon, and out of a Brentano x Weltmeyer mare. Champion of his WBS(UK) Lincensing in 2004, Rhondeo proved to be not only a successful competition horse in his own right, winning at Inter I in 2014; but also a producer of exceptional youngstock.

Archie was the perfect combination of his parents and sold as a yearling to Jessica, who added Briarwood Footloose to her family in 2018. In 2017, Archie went to British Dressage camp at Hartpury College, and gained some valuable experience.

We were lucky enough to travel to Stoneleigh to watch both Archie and Briarwood Freude (Freya) at the Trailblazers Dressage Championships in July 2018. Archie coped incredibly well with the atmosphere of such a large venue and we couldn’t have been prouder of his scores or his behaviour.
