Matilda was the first of the Briarwood foals to be born at home. Arriving in the middle of a terrible thunderstorm, and its consequent power cut, Matilda soon proved to have an exceptional character to match her pedigree. She is kind, intelligent and full of fun.

Not only does Matilda have faultless dressage bloodlines, combining Metall, sire of Uthopia, with Gribaldi and Balzflug, but she has excellent limbs and overall conformation. She showed great expression in all three gaits, with a particularly strong and uphill trot; giving her the natural cadence that she will hopefully need for a future dressage career.

We were delighted when Matilda found a perfect new home with Sophie, and we can’t wait to follow their journey together.
