Briarwood Dolce Latte
Maisie was a liver chestnut filly who gained a BEF Futurity First Premium as a foal in the dressage category. She combined double Donnerhall lines with the legendary thoroughbred Lauries Crusador. Her sire Treliver Decanter is a son of World Breeding Champion Dimaggio, and her dam is by Don Frederico out of an elite Lauries Crusador mare.

Treliver Decanter is proving to be an exceptional sire and dressage horse. His progeny have all done well in the BEF Futurity series, and Maisie has inherited his positive attitude and nice character.

Maisie’s maternal grand dam, the elite Hanoverian mare Liberty, was twice champion mare at the British Hanoverian Horse Society Annual Show. She produced the stallion Donnatello, and an array of broodmares. Liberty’s sire Lauries Crusador is thought of by many to be one of the most important Thoroughbred sires in Wamrmblood breeding, being responsible for a new athletic line of Hanoverian horses.

Maisie was a compact well put together horse with the movement of a Warmblood and the athleticism of a Thoroughbred. She had an excellent temperament, with just enough spark to make her an ideal competition prospect.

In 2013, Maisie found a wonderful home with Gill, but sadly an injury resulted in this special little horse sadly being put to sleep. We can only take comfort from the knowledge that Maisie’s life was filled with love and care.
